AMMAN — His Majesty
King Abdullah on Sunday checked on Masharea Comprehensive Center for Special
Education in the Northern Jordan Valley, which was built upon his directives
following a visit to the area in 2017, according to a Royal Court statement.

Ghazi, His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and
personal envoy, toured the facilities at the center, which provides diagnosis
as well as education, rehabilitation, and behavioral services for persons with
disabilities, with a capacity to receive up to 48 individuals per day.
The center includes 10 classrooms and
specialized departments for physiotherapy, treating speech disorders, and
providing counseling, in addition to a computer lab, a lecture hall, a crafts
workshop, and a playground.
A total of 21 employees work at the center,
which serves 27 beneficiaries on a daily basis and 73 on a weekly basis,
providing services to people with mental disabilities and autism, and targeting
males between the ages of 6 and 16, and females between the ages of 6 and 18.
Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, Royal
Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Director of the Office of His Majesty
Jafar Hassan, and Social Development Minister Ayman Mufleh accompanied His
Majesty.
