AMMAN —
Jordan Meteorological Department
forecasts a heat wave in the Kingdom, starting Saturday, with temperatures
ranging between hot and very hot in various parts of the country, according to
local media outlets.

Head of the department Raed Al-Khattab said that
according to analysis by the forecast center, the heat wave may last until
early September, and temperatures in Amman and the interior regions will range
between 38 and 39 Celsius and could reach 40 Celsius, while temperatures in the Badia and
the Jordan Valley are expected to reach between 42 and 44 Celsius.
Khattab added that the heat wave will be the longest
experienced in Jordan this summer, extending for a full week.
