AMMAN — The
Jordan Meteorological Department said Jordan will witness heavy precipitation Friday during limited
periods in the south and east of the Kingdom. It added that some central
regions are expected to see
thunder, hail, and moderate to brisk northeasterly
winds, Jo24 reported.

The meteorological department also warned
that
flooding may occur in valleys and low areas during the day in the
southern, eastern, and central parts of Jordan, with risks of low visibility
due to fog and cloud formation and slippery road surfaces due to rainfall.
Since the early morning hours on Friday,
the Kingdom has been affected by a state of atmospheric instability with cold
temperatures, cloudy skies, and periodic rainfall in various parts of the Kingdom.
Temperatures in eastern Amman will hit a
high of 12°C, dropping to a low of 8°C, while western Amman temperatures will
range between 10°C and 6°C. Near the Dead Sea, temperatures are predicted to
range between a fair 22°C and 13°C, and temperatures in the port city of Aqaba
will hover around 22°C during the day, reaching a low of 12°C at night.
For Saturday, relatively cold temperatures
and partly cloudy to cloudy skies are predicted, with light rainfall in different
parts of the Kingdom, especially to the west.
On Sunday, Jordan will be affected by an
air depression centered over Cyprus, and temperatures will be cold with partly
cloudy to cloudy skies, especially in the Kingdom’s northern and central
regions.
