AMMAN — The country will see its first depression over the weekend, starting with partly cloudy weather and isolated showers on Thursday, according to WASM Weather. A moderate southerly wind will prevail.
On Friday, the low depression centered on Cyprus will bring a drop in temperatures, from 18–13°C in Amman and 23–16°C in Aqaba. Cloud cover will increase, and scattered thunder showers will begin in the west of the Kingdom.
Saturday will see a further drop in mercury levels, which will range from 15°C to 12°C in Amman and 22°C to 16°C in Aqaba. The weather will be cloudy and rainy, though the precipitation’s intensity may differ area to area. Floods in the lowlands and valleys are a possibility, as are cold, moderate westerly winds.
