Amman– The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan, Hamad Al-Meri, emphasized his country’s commitment to continue supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to enable it to meet its financial obligations and continue providing its services.

This statement came during the delivery of Kuwait’s annual financial contribution to Tamara Al-Rifai, Director of External Relations and Media at UNRWA, on Thursday.
In a statement, Ambassador Al-Meri reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to meeting its obligations to UNRWA, emphasizing its belief in the agency’s crucial role despite the challenges it faces. He also reaffirmed Kuwait’s support for the Palestinian cause.
For her part, Al-Rifai expressed her gratitude for Kuwait’s support, which will assist the agency in continuing to provide services in the occupied territories, Jordan, and other countries hosting Palestinian refugees. She highlighted the vital services provided by the agency, including hundreds of schools, dozens of health centers, and other essential services.
