Labor Ministry team inspects factory after boiler incident

AMMAN — A team of representatives from the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services, the Irbid Labor Directorate, and the Public Health, and Safety Committee of the Koura District, on Monday inspected a clothing factory in Der Abi Saeed where a boiler had exploded injuring 16 workers, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Head of the Public Health and Safety Committee of the Koura District Bakr Al-Kaabneh said that “the inspection comes to ensure the provision of a healthy and safe work environment for male and female workers in the factory, with the aim of preventing accidents, work injuries, and health problems caused by occupational hazards”, adding that “the Public Health and Safety Committee carries out periodic inspections of all production facilities in the Koura District”.

The injured factory workers were taken to Princess Raya Hospital in Irbid 15 were discharged, and one is still being treated.
