Mohammad Al-Qaryouti, the Acting Director General of the Authority, stated that the authority has instructed the provincial offices to be present at departure and arrival centers during official working hours in order to provide the best service to the public.
He added that the movement of buses will be monitored from the authority's operations room at the headquarters building, specifically before Iftar time, in addition to reinforcing lines that need to secure transportation for all passengers before Iftar.
In a press statement on Sunday, Al-Qaryouti explained that the authority has communicated with the Public Security Directorate to coordinate between the security personnel, the authority's monitors, and the Greater Amman Municipality in the field to ensure that passenger transport services are provided at the required level throughout Ramadan.
The authority also called on the Public Security Directorate to tighten field monitoring of passenger transport lines in all governorates to ensure that all transport vehicles comply with the designated routes and reach the end points of their routes on every trip.
Al-Qaryouti pointed out that the external patrols deployed on highways will be intensifying their monitoring of buses and medium-sized buses dedicated to passenger transport that operate on main and internal routes, ensuring that they comply with regulations and detaining violators before reaching the border centers.
