The third and final phase of the School Debate Championship, organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation, kicked off in Amman yesterday as part of the Educational Activities Management Plan.

Dr. Ajmal Tawiqat, Director of Educational Activities at the Ministry, emphasized that the goal of this event is to instill positive concepts and methods of constructive dialogue based on arguments and evidence, as well as to develop students' higher-order thinking skills.
Program Coordinator, Ola Badaineh, explained that the student debates aim, through the various stages of the competition, to reinforce democratic values and equip students with positive methods of expressing their opinions and accepting differing views.
The first phase of the championship began at the start of the first semester, where 24 teams from across the country advanced to the final competition after regional eliminations. The competition will continue over the next four days to determine the top three positions.
