During the meeting, Sarhan stressed that Jordan had
overcome many difficulties and hardships under the Hashemite leadership and
remained a unique model whether in its level of services, achievements, and
development. He said that after 100 years of the establishment of the Jordanian
state the country can only cling to its historical, civilizational, and
political legacy, rather than be under the weight of media and political
influence.
Sarhan said that Jordan, with Hashemite custodianship
over Jerusalem and its Muslim and Christian sacred sites, remained eager to
support Palestine and its people. He called for placing the interests of the
nation above all other considerations and opening national discourse.
Adnan Farrahat, the committee’s coordinator
commended the role of national elites and leaders in carrying out their
national responsibilities to emphasize vital national interests so as to
reflect positively on the progress and preservation of the nation, Petra
reported.
