According to a press statement, the lighting of Tareq Station was in the primary colors of the campaign, yellow and dark blue, which were chosen as key symbols for accessibility and facilitative arrangements for people with visual impairments and low vision.

The statement clarified that Tareq Station is one of the stations of the Bus Rapid Transit system, which is the first public transportation system to achieve accessibility for people with disabilities. It added that the station was selected for its significance in the public transportation network, facilitating travel between the capital, Amman, and the Zarqa Governorate.

The project of the Bus Rapid Transit system consists of 270 buses, all designed to be accessible for passengers with mobility, visual, and hearing disabilities. The buses are equipped with ramps and designated spaces for people with mobility impairments, elderly passengers, pregnant women, and stroller users.

The statement mentioned that the lighting of Tareq Station is part of a series of activities conducted by the council in preparation for the summit. These activities include lighting the site of the Citadel Hill, the Jordan Museum building, and the Treasury at the ancient city of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. These efforts aim to create an environment that enhances the accessibility of people with disabilities to tourist and archaeological sites and facilities.

The campaign, which was launched under the slogan "Without Us, It Doesn’t Work," focuses on promoting awareness messages about the importance and goals of the summit through social media platforms.

It is worth noting that the summit aims to improve the lives of persons with disabilities and is organized by the Federal Republic of Germany, Jordan, and the International Disability Alliance (IDA) in Berlin.
