He called on municipalities and joint service councils to continuously monitor the situation, particularly in high-risk areas such as valleys, floods, drainage channels, and main roads in the areas they are responsible for or nearby, and to address any incidents promptly.
The minister highlighted the importance of coordination between municipalities and joint service councils, ensuring full cooperation with administrative governors, operations rooms, and emergency units from the Ministry of Public Works, Civil Defense, and other relevant authorities. He also urged them to provide available machinery, equipment, personnel, and resources to assist in handling any emergencies caused by the weather conditions, as well as to publicize emergency contact numbers through media outlets and social media platforms.
Al-Masri also stressed the need to remind citizens to stay away from flood channels, drainage systems, and areas where rainwater collects to ensure their safety, and to act promptly in case of any weather-related emergency.
