AMMAN — The price of local milk,
cheese, and milk derivatives in the Jordanian market will not be increased,
said President of the Cooperative Society for Cattle Owners and Milk Products
Laith Al-Hajj on Sunday.
This came after news was circulated about a price
increase for several imported dairy and cheese products.
But Hajj stressed that the price of local milk,
cheese, and milk derivatives will remain fixed, as the sector considers
citizens’ economic conditions, according to Khaberni.
He said he was surprised
when the fee for each head of cattle was raised from 80 piasters to JD3.
