AMMAN — On Tuesday, temperatures are
expected to be cold across most areas, with relatively colder conditions
anticipated in the
Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. During the late hours of
the night, Jordan will feel the impact of an extending low-pressure system
centered over Cyprus.

According to the
Jordan Meteorology Department’s (JMD) report, this system will result in heightened cloud cover at
different altitudes and scattered showers throughout various locations,
occasionally intense and accompanied by thunderstorms, as reported by Khaberni.
On Wednesday, a significant drop in temperatures
is anticipated, accompanied by cold and cloudy weather across the region.
Intermittent showers are expected in most areas, with
occasional heavy downpours, particularly in the northern and central regions. These showers may
be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, raising concerns for potential
flooding in valleys and low-lying areas. Additionally, active west winds are
forecasted, leading to dust-raising conditions, especially in desert regions.
On Thursday, Jordan is expected to be
impacted by a low-pressure system accompanied by a cold and moist air mass,
resulting in a significant temperature drop. Cold and cloudy weather will
dominate the region, with showers anticipated in numerous areas. Some of these
showers may be heavy and brief, with thunder and hail also possible. Active
west winds are forecasted, particularly in desert regions, leading to
dust-raising conditions.
