AMMAN — The Lower House returned the profession licensing draft law of the Greater Amman Municipality to the Senate after insisting on its previous decision, in its session on Monday, headed by the Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Al-Doghmi, in the presence of Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

The deputies rejected the Senates’ amendments that comply with what was stated by the government, making an exemption for professions practiced at home from fees for the first three years by the Am-man mayor according to instructions, and not according to the law as approved by the deputies.

The Lower House insisted on its previous decision to add a paragraph in the law that grants the aggrieved the right of compensation in case they refuse the exemptions and facilities granted to them. In addition to exempting the waiver of the “permit” from fees, and keeping it on the “license,” the deputies approved a number of the Senate amendment to the draft law, the most important of which is maintaining permits along with the licenses granted to practice professions within the municipality, as well as returning the word “greater” to the name of the law.
