During the meeting, guided by consensus among the relevant parties,
Health Minister Firas Al-Hawari made the decision to form a committee. This
committee, to be led by the
Ministry of Health's Secretary-General for
Administrative and Technical Affairs, will feature representatives from all
pertinent stakeholders. Its principal mandate will encompass developing
necessary recommendations that pertain to the
seamless integration of the cooperative fund system for doctors, Khaberni reported.
A meticulous review of
the charges structure
Furthermore, the committee will meticulously review the prevailing
charges structure for doctors. This scrutiny is in preparation for official
endorsement, a process designed to ensure adherence to foundational principles
while harmonizing with the collective aspirations of all stakeholders.
Additionally, the adjustments will align with the dynamic evolutions within the
medical sector, particularly those dimensions that the present charges
structure may not adequately address, particularly in relation to medical procedures.
In a notable accord, the
Doctors Syndicate agreed to postpone the
earlier decision to suspend new insured patient admissions, an action that had
been initially slated for September 2. The suspension has been deferred until
the committee concludes its deliberations, with a specified deadline set for
December 2.
