MP Ajarmeh faces suspension as lawmakers meet Thursday

AMMAN — The Lower House will on Thursday hold a meeting, probably behind closed doors, to decide the fate of MP Osama Ajarmeh, after the legal panel recommended a suspension of his membership.اضافة اعلان

The deputy angered his colleagues on Wednesday with insulting statements and he was supposed to apologize to the House during its Wednesday’s session, but he did not, triggering a motion against him.

Sources expected that Ajarmeh might be suspended from six months to one year. The decision requires 50 percent of the attending legislators’ votes plus one.
