AMMAN —
MP Khalil Attieh adopted a parliamentary memorandum calling on the government,
through the Central Bank of Jordan, to issue instructions to banks to stop
initiating lawsuits against defaulting clients who are unable to repay their
debts, according to Ammon News.

The memorandum
stated that the request comes in view of the national and international
economic circumstances, asking to alleviate citizens’ burdens with the advent
of the fasting month of Ramadan amid increased prices of commodities.
