Qatawneh added
that the Freedoms Committee did not perform its role in solving this issue,
indicating that he will summon the committee for a meeting to discuss detaining
people without any right to do so.
He stressed that
he will submit his resignation to the committee if it does not address the matter,
so that people do not hold him accountable.
Qatawneh
also called for amending the
Crime Prevention Law, which is being exploited for
purposes other than what it was set for, adding “I believe crimes should be
defined clearly under such law and things must not be left for speculation.”
