Omari said the world is experiencing an “exceptional
circumstance” and that the government must take a decision against raising
prices. He denounced the government’s levying JD0.003 tax on every litre of
gasoline.
Omari pointed out that the tax is high and that citizens
cannot afford it, if prices continue to rise globally. He urged the government
to freeze it or suspend it for a period of at least six months.
