In
a press statement, Rawajih mentioned that the project is progressing according
to plan. The project costs approximately $1.35 million, funded through a grant
from the
Municipal Services and Social Resilience Project (MSSRP) and the
Ministry of Local Administration (MoLA).
The
project includes the construction of a tourist pathway featuring a modern stone
entrance gate made from Madaba stone. Additionally, pedestrian walkways and
dedicated bike lanes will be established. The path will showcase mosaic panels
representing the overall character of Madaba while preserving the natural
wealth on both sides of the road by creating specialized basins and planting
nearly 2,000 trees.
Furthermore,
the project involves road reconstruction and expansion, rainwater drainage,
energy-efficient street lighting, and directional signs for road safety.
