Mafraq Governor, Firas Abu Al-Ghanem, confirmed that the development teams conducted 8 field rounds to combat begging in the governorate, which helped reduce this phenomenon and maintain the city's urban appearance, in addition to responding to citizens' complaints regarding the issue.
Abu Al-Ghanem pointed out that strict legal and administrative measures were taken against the violators, including linking them and their families to judicial bonds amounting to 50,000 Jordanian Dinars, along with signing commitments to refrain from begging in the future.
The governor also emphasized that the begging of minors, especially at traffic signals, poses a significant risk to their lives and the lives of drivers, due to the possibility of accidents caused by their presence in unsafe areas.
