Ajloun’s Awqaf Directorate is carrying out maintenance work for a number of mosques in the governorate, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Director of the Awqaf, Dr. Ahmad Al-Smadi, said maintenance work aims to preserve the mosques and their religious and historical status and prepare them for worshippers. The maintenance include painting, ceiling maintenance work to prevent moisture, in addition to electrical installations, sanitary materials, fans, and cleaning of the mosque’s external areas.
He pointed out that the directorate will follow up the maintenance work for a number of mosques in the governorate’s regions to enhance the Ministry of Awqaf’s message of caring for mosques.
Smadi appreciated the efforts those supporting the directorate to preserve the mosques and provide a suitable environment for performing prayers in them.
