AMMAN –– An ad hoc committee has named five
persons as new members of Royal Jordanian’s board, representing the government.
The new members include the former CEO of the national

Incumbent chairperson Saeed Darwazeh and his deputy, Bassem
Al-Salem, will keep their positions, according to sources familiar with the
resolutions of the panel tasked with selecting figures to represent the
government on the boards of companies where it has a stake.
Other names appointed to the airline’s board are Khloud
Sakkaf, Khairi Amr, Omar Al-Fahoum, and Rajai Kamal Al-Dajani, while
Abdul-Hakim Al-Shalabi will keep his seat, but as a representative of the
Social Security Investment Fund instead of the government, which he represented
in the outgoing board.
