Man’s body recovered from King Abdullah Canal

AMMAN— Civil defense personnel in western Irbid on Saturday pulled the body of a young man, who drowned in King Abdullah Canal in Northern Shouneh region, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. In a statement to "Petra" on Saturday, director of Moaz bin Jabal Hospital, Ihsan Matalqa, said the 23-year-old man was evacuated to the emergency department, but died before arriving to get medical treatment. The body was transferred to forensic medical center in northern Irbid governorate to determine cause of death, he added.
