The committee proposed canceling the mandatory wearing
of protective facial masks in closed areas, Jo24 said, quoting Health adviser
to the Prime Minister, Adel Bilbisi.
The government, however, wanted to keep mask-wearing
mandatory in closed areas, but make it optional outdoors, according to Jo24.
Shboul said recommendations must undergo certain legal
steps before the prime ministry approves them. He pointed out that some
recommendations must align with amendments on a certain defense order, while
others need to have a new defense order.
The minister stressed that the
Legislation and Opinion Bureau is the responsible authority for approving such recommendations.
