Al-Qaisi
added that “Mansaf” is one of the oldest dishes ever known to human gatherings
and was associated with social occasions and feasts, which reflects the
structure of Jordanian society, the value of the product, and the harmony in
its components.
He pointed
out that many countries have included some dishes on the list of intangible
cultural heritage, proving a certain dish belongs to them, and the Mansaf on
that list proves that it is originally Jordanian, describing it a great
achievement.
Qaisi also said,
"Everyone who eats Mansaf loves its taste and rituals, and we have done
more than one ritual to promote Mansaf, such as holding Mansaf banquets.”
He also stressed
that Mansaf is not only represented by food, as it is a tradition that
accompanies food and the method of preparation, noting “It is a cultural
aspect, representing an identity, and expressing Jordan's culture.”
