‘May God protect us’ — National Committee for Epidemics

AMMAN — On Thursday, member of the National Committee for Epidemics Bassam Al-Hijjawi stated that there has been a clear lack of commitment to health and safety measures by citizens during Eid Al-Adha, according to Al-Ghad news.اضافة اعلان

He added that some wedding halls have not been checking for vaccine certificates or masks, and some restaurants have been allowing up to 10 people per table. Hijjawi estimated that Amman’s commitment to safety measures does not exceed 40 percent.

“The current situation, with the obvious excess in unsupervised gatherings and the reluctance of some to receive the vaccine or adhere to the measures, indicates that the number of infections will increase,” said Hijjawi. “May God protect us.”
