AMMAN — Minister of State for Information Affairs and government spokesperson Faisal Al-Shboul confirmed on Thursday 14 new cases of Omicron variant, bringing the total number to 19 cases, Al Ghad.

Shboul said that the health authorities took samples from 250 people, who were suspected of being infected with Omicron, and those in contact with them.
On Thursday, the government announced the arrival of the first shipment of BCR testing of the Omicron to be used at the airport, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Ministry of Health had previously announced that 7 cases of Omicron variant had been recorded in Jordan, 6 of them came from abroad, and were institutionally isolated in a hotel in the capital, Amman.
