Meta temporarily removes Al-Ghad’s Facebook page over alleged violation

AMMAN — According to Al-Ghad Newspaper, the official Facebook page of the newspaper has been temporarily removed by Meta administration, the owner of Facebook, for allegedly violating its community standards. Al-Ghad reported that this action is part of the ongoing censorship and coverage of the siege of Gaza since October 7. The administration stated that the probation period would last for 35 days, as news came in the early morning on Saturday.اضافة اعلان

Since October 7, and even before, Facebook has been alleged to restrict Arabic content related to Palestine, with an additional reduction of posts to followers in what many are claiming is a “shadow-ban.”

Al-Ghad has reported that other social media pages are still operational.
