Amman- Minister of Government Communication and Official Spokesperson Mohammad Momani emphasized the crucial role of media colleges in producing young, skilled professionals for Jordan’s national media landscape.اضافة اعلان

During a meeting with deans and heads of media departments at public and private universities on Monday, Momani underlined that this gathering is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to engage with various media sectors to foster a progressive vision for the country's media industry.

He stressed the importance of integrating academic perspectives to enhance the media sector, especially as it adapts to rapid technological and digital advancements.

Momani confirmed that the ministry will continue collaborating with media colleges and departments at universities to review and improve curricula and legislation, aiming to produce competent graduates capable of contributing to the media labor market and strengthening the national media scene.

He also acknowledged the significant development of the academic media sector under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, citing its growth in terms of diversity and reach. He emphasized the need for media colleges to adopt global best practices, ensuring academic programs remain relevant and up-to-date with emerging trends.

During the meeting, deans and department heads shared valuable feedback, discussing challenges facing the academic media sector and the importance of a specialized training center for media graduates in collaboration with the private sector.

They also highlighted the need to update study plans to incorporate advancements such as artificial intelligence and digital media developments.

Furthermore, they advocated for regular meetings between media faculties to refine programs and align academic offerings with industry needs.

The participants also called for more proactive media spokespersons in public institutions, with each spokesperson developing a tailored media strategy to enhance communication and information flow to the public.
