Hawari noted that the construction of these centers is part of efforts to strengthen the infrastructure of primary health facilities, in preparation for the first phase of the comprehensive health coverage plan approved by the government last June. The plan aims to enhance primary health care to deliver efficient and high-quality health services across the Kingdom.

He emphasized the vital role primary health centers play as the first point of contact for patients, providing essential diagnosis and care.

The Salt Health Center, which will be upgraded to a comprehensive facility, spans approximately 1,500 square meters and will offer a range of medical services, including general medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, family medicine, orthopedics, and dermatology. It will also feature a laboratory, radiology department, and specialized dental services. The center, serving around 60,000 citizens, will include a maternity and childhood services wing.

Meanwhile, the Mahes Health Center, covering 1,860 square meters, will cater to approximately 35,000 citizens. It will provide general medicine and specialized clinics, including internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and dermatology, alongside a laboratory, radiology services, and maternity care.
