During the meeting, Qaisi discussed the development of tourism relations between Jordan and the Vatican, focusing on Christian religious tourism, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

Future plans, connecting sites
Qaisi outlined the ministry's plans, including connecting five Vatican-approved sites along the Christian pilgrimage trail: the Baptism Site, Mukawir, Mount Nebo, Mar Elias, and the Church of Our Lady of the Mountain.

The first section of a 16-kilometer path linking the Baptism Site to Mount Nebo is complete, and plans are underway to connect Mount Nebo to Mukawir. Efforts to rehabilitate the castle and Byzantine church in the heritage village are also ongoing.
