AMMAN — Jordan’s religious and cultural diversity,
as well as its commitment to tolerance and coexistence, make it one of the most
significant and well-known destinations for religious travelers worldwide,
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al-Fayez said on Tuesday.

The minister was speaking during a meeting with Lebanon’s
Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, the Jordan News Agency, Petra,
reported.
The Baptism Site in the Jordan Valley and other religious
sites, including Mount Nebo, Tel Mar Elias, Mukawer, and the Lady of the
Mountain Church are religious tourism destinations that hold great significance
for Christian pilgrims, Fayez said.
Patriarch Al-Rahi expressed appreciation for Jordan’s
support of Lebanon, praising the Kingdom’s tolerance and religious coexistence.
