Amman– Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, participated today in the ministerial meeting held as part of the "4th International Mining Conference," currently taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the theme "Achieving Impact."

The conference, held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, saw the attendance of over 50 ministers from around the world on its first day, along with leaders from global mining companies.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the conference focused on enhancing international cooperation in utilizing mineral resources, encouraging investment in the sector, and supporting innovation and modern technology in mining operations.
It also highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable mining practices to ensure environmental protection and achieve sustainable economic development.
The conference discussed how to leverage current challenges facing the sector, such as the impacts of climate change and the digital transformations occurring within the mining industry, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce environmental impact.
