Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafzah met with His Excellency the Omani Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Ajili. During the meeting, Minister Mahafzah emphasized the importance of cooperation and joint coordination between the two parties in the field of higher education, particularly the cultural exchange between Jordanian and Omani students. He also highlighted the need to strengthen partnerships between universities and educational institutions, work together in the fields of scientific research and technology, and contribute to the development of academic capabilities and the enhancement of bilateral relations.

The meeting was attended by First Secretary and Acting Head of the Cultural Section, Mr. Salem bin Suleiman Al-Wahaibi, and the Head of the Academic Section, Dr. Abdullah Obaidat. It is worth noting that the number of Omani students currently studying in Jordan is approximately 2,400 across various Jordanian higher education institutions.
