Amman – Minister of Labor Khaled Al-Bakkar met today, Thursday, at the Ministry's headquarters with the Chairman and members of the Palestinian Parliamentary Committee to discuss the demands of Gaza residents in Jordan.

Al-Bakkar stated that the ministry, through its actions, is working to organize the labor market and create a database to identify the labor needs of each sector for non-Jordanian workers. He emphasized that the ministry is committed to applying the provisions of Jordan's Labor Law.
He also mentioned that the ministry will ease the procedures for issuing work permits for Gaza residents by allowing them to use their white cards instead of temporary passports, making it easier for them.
Al-Bakkar stressed that Gaza residents are an integral part of Jordan's national fabric.
The minister pointed out the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II to support the people of Gaza, stating that under His Majesty's leadership, Jordan has made significant political and diplomatic efforts, in addition to providing humanitarian aid and field hospitals to support the resilience of the Palestinian people, especially those in Gaza.
For his part, the Chairman of the Palestinian Parliamentary Committee, MP Suleiman Al-Saud, reviewed the demands of Gaza residents in Jordan, emphasizing the importance of alleviating their suffering, particularly in terms of integrating them into the Jordanian labor market.
He praised Jordan's significant role in supporting the Palestinian cause and its continuous efforts in providing assistance to the people of Gaza.
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Hussein Al-Amoush, the Secretary of the Committee, Ahmed Al-Sarrahna, and committee members Mustafa Al-Amawi, Taysir Abu Arabi, and MP Hail Ayash all stressed the need to ease the procedures related to employment issues for Gaza residents in Jordan.
