AMMAN — Minister of Public Works and
Housing and Transport, Ahmad Maher Abul Samen, held talks with Fernando
Echegaray, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Airport International
Group, to discuss the future plans for the
Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) project, according to a local media outlet.

The strategic plans aim to increase the
number of passengers and enhance the airport's competitiveness to attract more
airlines.
Improving airport servicesDuring the meeting, the ministry's
secretary-general, Wesam Tahtamouni, and the CEO of the Airport International
Group, Nicholas Claude, were also present. They discussed the operational
issues and plans to improve the airport's infrastructure to provide the best
services for travelers.
Abul Samen emphasized the
government's interest in the QAIA project, which he said is one
of the best public-private partnerships in the country.
He highlighted the recent developments
that have
taken place at the airport, particularly the level of services
provided and its regional and international status.
Future projectsAdditionally, the minister reviewed the
most important future projects that the ministry intends to develop, and
discussed the possibility of resolving all outstanding issues. This would
contribute to the stability of the project and support investment in the
Kingdom.
Echegaray praised the partnership in the QAIA project with the government, represented by
the Ministry of Transport.
He stated that the continuous support on
all levels contributes to raising the operational and service efficiency at the
airport.
