AMMAN —
Minister of Health Feras Al-Hawari participated in the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East conference in Rome Monday, which aims to tackle the epidemiological situation and key issues related to the G20 agenda, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

At the conference, Hawari spoke about Jordan’s efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthen the Jordanian health care system and the national immunization campaign, in addition to recovery plans and the reopening of sectors, a ministry statement said.
Around 60 countries participated in the conference, including heads of state, health ministers, and the director of the WHO. The conference aims to enhance cooperation between Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
The conference also aims to deal with the issue of limited access to coronavirus vaccines in most African and Middle Eastern countries, as well as economic aspects of global cooperation, namely the financial issues of the poorest countries.
The
European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East promotes the exchange of skills and knowledge with target countries, especially in the health sector, in addition to the training of medical and health care personnel, the development of medical skills, and the organization of surgical missions managed by the San Donato hospital group.
