According to Resolution No. 96 of 2024, the ministry has also decreased the selling price of unified wheat flour produced by private sector mills and the Juwaida Mill. For August, the price per ton has been reduced by JD4.204, making it JD163.039, down from JD167.243 in July.

The ministry's decision mandates that mills supply bakeries with their required flour allocations. Mills are required to coordinate with the Inventory Management Directorate to confirm their allocations. Any wheat milled or sold in excess of these allocations will be priced at JD252.806 per ton, an increase from JD251.363 in July, reflecting an increment of JD1.443 per ton.

Effective from August 1, this decision is aligned with the Cabinet’s directives on liberalizing flour prices and pricing bread, including a reduction in the unified flour price by JD10. The price of unified flour will be adjusted in response to changes in fuel prices or other variables.

The resolution also stipulates an extraction rate of 78 percent for unified flour and 22 percent for bran, with the extraction rates for other types of flour set according to the standard specifications.
