In a press statement, the Interior Ministry
confirmed that this measure comes from the continuing efforts to support the
Palestinians, and within the ministry’s procedures to facilitate the movement
of those departing to the West Bank through King Hussein Bridge in order to
prevent overcrowding.
Last July, the Interior Ministry said that it was adopting
arrangements to make entry to Jordan via the King Hussein Bridge through
tickets booked in advance electronically or from the offices of the transport
company in Amman, to control the number of people on the bridge.
