Al-Daqamseh added in a press statement that after receiving the Hajj permit, pilgrims must approach a licensed Hajj and Umrah company of their choice. The ministry has approved 200 companies for facilitating the required procedures during the Hajj season.

He noted that permit distribution will be available from Sunday morning until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, and this deadline may be extended if there are issues completing the procedures for the pilgrims.

Al-Daqamseh stressed that the issues from last year will not recur, and unapproved companies will not be allowed this year.

Furthermore, he mentioned that Saudi authorities will not issue tourism or Umrah visas before Hajj, unlike in the previous year.

The spokesperson emphasized that the COVID-19 vaccine is not required for performing Hajj this year, according to the latest instructions.

The Ministry of Awqaf also invited those born between April 1, 1953, and December 31, 1953, to visit Awqaf directorates to collect their Hajj permits starting Sunday morning until 6:00 PM on Tuesday.
