This year’s celebration of Flag Day is considered a unifying national event that strengthens the symbolism of the Jordanian flag and its national significance. On this day, Jordanians remember the sacrifices and dedication made by their ancestors to keep our flag flying high, symbolizing the nation’s memory and the noble legacy of its heroes, present in every official, national, and public celebration.
The national plan, coordinated between all ministries and national institutions, includes implementing field and media activities that reflect and emphasize pride and loyalty, while ensuring that the flag is a visible part of the community's behavior and throughout the Kingdom’s governorates.
The Minister of Culture called on citizens, organizations, private sector institutions, civil society groups, youth and cultural bodies, school and university students, and Jordanian families across the country to participate in this national campaign.
The main event, scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, will involve the raising of the flag at the designated celebration site in a unified manner across all governorates of the Kingdom. The event, which will use the hashtags #OurFlagIsHigh / #JordanianFlagDay, will also include distributing flags to citizens, homes, and cars to be raised in neighborhoods and on flagpoles along major streets. Additionally, electronic billboards with the flag and campaign slogans will be displayed, the Roman Theater will be illuminated, and flags will be raised in school courtyards. There will also be a student march towards the Parliamentary Life Museum, the launch of the campaign’s visual identity, and an evening event organized by the Ministry of Culture in the Jabal Amman area.
Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan has instructed all ministries, official departments, institutions, and public bodies to prepare for this national occasion, raise the Jordanian flag on their buildings in various sizes, and follow the official page of the “Our Flag Is High” campaign.
