The ministry's spokesperson, Yanal Al-Barmawi, stated that the ministry conducted 345 inspections of commercial establishments across various governorates of the Kingdom on Saturday. These inspections will continue on a daily basis, both in the morning and evening shifts.
The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply urged citizens to report any market violations through the ministry's complaints hotline at (065661176), its Facebook page (mit.gov.jo), or its website (https://www.mit.gov.jo).
In conjunction with the arrival of Ramadan, the government has implemented a number of measures, including extending the decision issued earlier this year regarding the exemption from customs duties and both general and special sales taxes on shipping fees for three more months.
The government also decided to extend the decision made earlier last year until the end of Ramadan, requiring the Silos Company to offer encouraging storage prices for private sector importing companies for essential goods. This measure aims to reduce inflationary effects, positively impacting the prices of goods sold to citizens, among other initiatives.
