The law prohibits the publication of any advertisement that misleads consumers. An advertisement is considered misleading if it contains false or incomplete information regarding the nature, quality, or expiration date of a product, contract terms, payment methods, or the identity and qualifications of the service provider.

The ministry clarified that the law prohibits any violation of consumers' rights, which include: the right to obtain safe and healthy goods or services, the right to complete and accurate information about the product or service, the right to choose a product or service without pressure, and the right to receive a receipt proving the purchase.

The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply called on citizens to report any violations in the markets through the ministry's complaint hotline (065661176), its Facebook page (mit.gov.jo), or its website (https://www.mit.gov.jo).
