AMMAN — The General Secretary for Administrative and
Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Education Najwa Qabilat stated on Tuesday that
any students suspected of being COVID positive or having come in contact with
someone that is positive, will immediately be asked to take a PCR test.

Qabilat told Al-Mamlaka
that students who suffer from
immunodeficiency can attend school online
provided that they attend exams in-person.
In addition to wearing masks, social distancing, following
Defense Order No. 32, and taking
PCR tests regularly, the courtyard where
students gather before class will be kept at 50 percent capacity.
According to Qabilat
“we are aiming to train 60,000 teachers on the new educational program” which
aims to prepare students mentally and scientifically to return to school.
The Minister of Education Mohammad Abu Qadis on Monday stated
that only schools that record 10 percent increase in cases will shift to online
learning, according to Al-Mamlaka.
