AMMAN — The official spokesman for the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Daifallah Al-Fayez on Friday announced that
Afghan citizens whom Jordan had allowed to pass through its territory earlier
this week on their way to the US, have left the Kingdom.

Fayez said that their passage and departure were
according to arrangements agreed upon with the US, in which Jordan allowed a
maximum of 2,500 people to pass through to help deal with the humanitarian
crisis in Afghanistan.
Fayez also said that Afghan citizens might
continue to pass through Jordan until the end of this month, according to
Al-Ghad.
