AMMAN — On Monday, the
Ministry of Justice signed an agreement for a service to collect attorney fees'
returns. The aim is to enhance cooperation with the
Jordan Bar Association (JBA) in
collecting attorney fees from lawyers on behalf of the JBA, an
additional service provided by the ministry's systems.

The agreement was
signed by the representative of the
Minister of Justice, the Secretary-General
of Judicial Affairs, Judge Dr. Saad Al-Louzi, and the representative of the
Jordan Bar Association, the president of the Lawyers, Yahya Salem Abu Abood.
According to the agreement, the legally prescribed percentage of attorney fees
will be collected, as determined by the courts in legal cases presented to the
execution departments through the computerized programs and the e-services
portal of the Ministry of Justice. A portion of these amounts will be deposited
into the state treasury.
