According to a letter issued by the ministry on
Sunday, foreign workers who were issued with deportation orders and who are
still in Jordan will be allowed to obtain work permits in accordance with
current labor procedures.
The ministry said those included in the amnesty must
“rectify their legal situation and pay any related work permit fees and other
fines”.
The halt on deportations will last until September 1.
