AMMAN — Mercury levels on Friday are expected to dip a few degrees, bringing relatively hot weather to the Kingdom, except in the hilly areas and the plains where it will be fair be around their annual average, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

On Saturday, mercury levels will rise again, bringing hot conditions in most regions, while it will remain moderate in the mountains and the plains.
The highs in
Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom today will range between 25°C and 28°C, dropping at night to 19°C or even 16°C in the southern highlands. In the port city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 40°C and a low of 24°C.
