This is the
highest recorded temperature in the area since
climate records began 100 years ago, according to the
Arabia Weather Center for meteorological forecasts, Hala News reported.
According to
Arabia Weather, the prevailing atmosphere in
Jordan is unusual, as temperatures have risen more than 10 degrees Celsius
above their usual averages for this time of the year. This is due to the
influence of an extremely hot desert air mass coming from the
Arabian Peninsula, leading to scorching conditions.
